Pool Tip #24: Pool Chemical Care --- Acidity

When increasing the acidity of your above ground swimming pool, be sure to pour the pool chemicals close to the surface so as to not create any splashing. This is important because if the highly-acidic chemicals come into contact with your pool rail, pool wall, or deck, it will likely cause discoloration or corrosion in the steel. Furthermore, limiting the splash of chemicals will prevent getting some of the chemicals in your eyes or on your skin, which can cause irritation. If you ever get any acidic pool chemicals on you, be sure to wash it off right away.
