Wilbar International, manufacturer of the Bella™ and San Marino™ above ground pools sold by PcPools.com, updated the warranty information to explicitly note both pools are "fully covered against all forms of water maintenance." What does that mean for pool owners? The pools are salt friendly! The Bella’s warranty term was also extended from 40 years to 50 years.
Both the Bella™ and the San Marino™ pools are galvanized steel-wall pools. But more than galvanization is necessary to protect the steel components and walls from corroding over years of use, especially if the pool contains saltwater. Use of a chlorinator in an untreated steel pool would quickly spell disaster.
This led to the development of more and more advanced coating methods for steel pools, culminating in the 8 layer BonderCoat applied to the Bella and San Marino (process depicted at right). BonderCoat will help fight rust and corrosion in the harshest environments, enabling steel above ground pool owners to maintain and treat their pool water via the saltwater method.
